The harmonic series is the infinite series [infinity] [Sum] n=1: =1+1/2+1/3+1/4+….
(a) Use the NSum command to make a table of values of the partial sums of the harmonic series from 1 to 10k, for k running from 1 to 10.
(b) Analyze the results of (a) carefully, and tell what you have discovered. (There is something to discover! If you need a hint, use the boldfaced word in the Summary problem below. It’s a command!)
(c) Use this discovery to explain how you can make the partial sums of this infinite series as large as you like. In particular, about how many terms of the harmonic series are necessary to make the partial sum larger than 30?
