3. Discussion : Select a recent case in the news in which a criminal homicide was committed. What were the facts that supported the elements of the charged offense? What facts could have been presented at the preliminary hearing by the defense attorney to negotiate a plea bargain to support a lesser charge? Now pretend like you are a lawyer for a similar case. Adopt a position as defense attorney or prosecuting attorney. How would you present your case as a defense attorney, or how would you present your case as a prosecuting attorney?
