How are household chores typically divided in Western homes and how does it compare with your specific situation?  Do you think that housework should have some sort of retribution, like pay, pension, or some other social recognition?  How can we bring up our children or encourage legislation to fix any imbalances in the division that you have noted?

How do you explain the data presented in this article about the current status of household chore division?  How would you say it compares to the famous essay “I want a wife” written in the 70s?
