Many names have been recognized as notable business leaders. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Welch, and Colleen Barrett are all leaders identified for their unique approach to leading people. Please review the “Contemporary Business Leaders” document to locate more business leaders. Select one leader from that list and respond to the following questions.

Discuss (1,250-1,500 words) what you learned about the selected individual as a leader and the leadership style used. Include the following in your discussion:

  1. Identify a leader and justify why you selected that particular leader. What organization(s) is the leader affiliated with? In what industry is the leader recognized? How long was the leader in a leadership position?
  2. Discuss which leadership theory best describes the chosen leader’s approach to leading people.  
  3. What was the leader’s greatest achievement?
  4. Identify a significant challenge the leader faced and how the challenge was handled. Did the response align more with a managerial role or a leadership role?
  5. What power base did the leader use in handling or resolving the challenge?
  6. Compare the leadership style used by your selected leader against that of the leader’s successor/predecessor (or competitor if successor/predecessor is not applicable). Was there a difference in the leadership style? Which leader do you think is more effective and why?
  7. Include a personal reflection and identify two to three attributes you hope to emulate or avoid (based on studying this leader) in order to be a successful leader.

You are required to use at least two external sources to provide evidence to support the leadership style your selected leader showed. This should not be completed based on an opinion.

Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.

For this week’s assignment, you will evaluate criminal justice systems via JuriGlobe: World Legal Systems. Across the globe, there are various types of law including civil law, Muslim law, common law, customary law, and mixed systems. To understand international law, we must evaluate the types of law and criminal justice systems in countries across the world.

In your paper

  • Describe each type of law identified in the JuriGlobe site.
  • Provide examples of the countries that operate under the various types of legal systems.
  • Evaluate how the court process in these countries differs from that of the United States.
  • Analyze the types of legal and court systems.
  • Describe the best system, in your opinion.
  • Provide an explanation supporting your opinion.

Healthcare reform is a timely, highly debated issue. The part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that identifies employer responsibilities in relation to care intends to provide individuals with better control over how their healthcare dollars are spent and provide care to more Americans. However, the question whether this will be accomplished, as well as the burden the law puts on employers, is greatly debated.

In this assignment, you will explore healthcare reform as it pertains to employers.

Tasks:

Research the part of healthcare reform (included in the ACA) that directly impacts employers, including a review of the actual act. Additional resources may include legal opinions available on the Internet or perspectives of human resource (HR) professionals or organizations. You can also use the Argosy University online library resources in your research.

Write a 3–5-page paper analyzing the law, including changes that will be required by employers in the future, on the basis of the current law. Include an assessment of the pros and cons of the current law. Discuss any modifications you suggest. Support your research and analysis with reference to scholarly resources in the APA format.
