Deadlines are approaching, and your medical center has not implemented any of the information system changes for adopting the electronic health record (EHR) system.
The EHR system houses the clinician’s documentation and coding. If the documentation and coding done by both the coders and clinicians is not done in accordance with documentation and coding guidelines, organizations face various risks (e.g., not being paid by insurance companies, incomplete patient records, and under- or overcoding). Ask yourself the “believing” questions suggested by Elbow, such as “What’s interesting or helpful about the view? What would you notice if you believed this view? … In what sense or under what conditions might this idea be true?” Jot down your answers to refer to later when you write your essay.
The Doubting Game is “doubting” what you do believe.
